DOX what are the Magpies...

chances of beating Arsenal on Friday?
currently Newcastle are 6/1 at Premierbet and 7.20 at Betfair. They will probably get longer at BF I suspect.
Isnt this a bit off for Newcastle?I know they have had a terrible start to the Prem this year, but they still are a decent team.
I read a recent article in the racing post where Kevin Pullein states that punters overestimate the importance of recent form, like the last 4 or 5 games. He says that you must obviously place the most importance on the last game,a little less on the game before that and so on,but you must back over a good few games,he said 24 or someting like that is optimal.Every team has losing streaks as they have winning streaks.

and when you find that the odds have lengthened disproportionately due to a recent bad patch, advantage can be taken of this.

I dont know whether to back Newcastle or lay the Ars.

any thoughts?
