a guy like Fezzik can make the No bet on the Triple Crown with little knowledge on horses. just as I gathered some information on this site and other sites about the race, the horse, and the information of public bettors going heavy on faves usually and the fact that he was 20-1 in the Derby. just using some math and this info, -950 does look like a good bet.

when you pick horses for the race, it is very possible that you will have a better ROI. but you actually have to know about horses, you need to be able to cap the race, or you need to be able to completely trust someone who you think can cap the race. to me, that is difficult to come by.

for myself, i don't trust anyone to cap the race for me, and i don't trust myself to do it either. but i trust the info i have right now to say that -950 has a positive edge to the degree of at least 2%, and that's good enough to add to my portfolio of sports bets.
