I don't think they're superficial- for whatever its worth. Fez and Stevie disagree about many things- and neither one of them has a problem dis-agreeing if they ACTUALLY do dis-agree.

I think it simply comes down to Fez- feeling EXTREMELY strongly- that we need to be VERY clear- that its gonna be AMAZINGLY hard- to beat any sport- where the take is 20%. And then- he believes that in order to do that- you better not make any mistakes- that could 'add' to the dis-advantage- or itll make the 20% take nearly- if not totally- impossible to beat. In your case- he believes he sees you making those mistakes- leading him to- what he considers to be a logical conclusion.

Stevie is simply pointing out that he knows someone who has beaten racing consistently- over a statistically significant period of time.

Fez- then- is simply acknowledging- that perhaps it is beatable by a few special individuals- like the individual that Stevie mentions-- who can combine a TREMENDOUS amount of horse knowledge-- with an INCREDIBLE work ethic- an AMAZING amount of discipline- AND- most importantly- a comprehensive grasp of the mathematical principles that accompany the medium- and of mathematical principles- in general.

But Fez still believes- that those few who can beat the 20% take- are few and far between. And from the examples that you've provided-- he seems to feel that you're AT LEAST- lacking in the last area mentioned-- leading him to what he considers to be- a logical conclusion.

Point is- there's plenty on here to debate. But one thing- that i think is perfectly clear- is that Fez won't concede to ANYONE- when he doesn't believe they're right-- it simply doesn't happen. And it shouldn't happen.

Whether you agree with Fez or not- hes true to what he believes- perhaps stubborn sometimes (as we all are)-- but he certainly doesnt
back down from his position- whether the opposing view is coming from another SSB host- or simply a member of the SSB community.

My goal of course- is not to put words in anyone's mouth. If ive mis-stated a view of Fez or SY- please let me know.
