In the NFL, I've noticed one of the signs a bettor is getting good is that he will be able to predict what the actual opening lines will be within a point on most games. Most bettors never come close to being able to do this. Predicting what will actually happen is difficult, but predicting the lines should be a slam dunk.

That being said, I think Gary's 7-2 estimate on War Emblam probably is a pretty good one. His actual chance to win is probably only around 20%. But what do I know about horses? I really would like this confirmed by someone else. Anyone else out there agree?
