Question regarding out of conference OT.

Should there be a unique moneyline/puckline differential for a similarly totaled game involving out of conference games compared to conference games?
With the way the rules have it a team gets 1 point for going into overtime and another if they can win it. They lose nothing if they give the game away in the last 30 seconds because they stacked everyone near the net and the defender gets a clean break for the other end.
Is there a standard price penalty for in conference pucklines compared to out of conference pucklines? Is it worth a nickel, 2 cents, zero? Any opinions?
For those that are unfamiliar, it happened a few times last year where this conversation came to light on the NHL scene. I am not arguing with the rules but there seems to me to be a difference (especially late in the season) with the way conference teams approach overtime as opposed to non conference teams. I want to know if the books have adjusted for this or is according to popular opinion that the teams play for pride anyway even if they have nothing to gain.
