MLS picks

I don't know anything about soccer to tell the truth. But I have been putting the MLS into my pythagorean theorem / strength of past schedule formulas, and actually, I've done pretty well. Over 50 games, I'm 30-20 - in the NFL last year, using these same formulas, I was 64-34. So far 5-2 in the CFL and 20-12 in the Arena. Luck? possibly. or maybe there's something to the ideas. I only bet on games that have a difference of 10% or more or 7 points or more in NFL, CFL, and 10 points or more in Arena. If these picks start losing, will I continue to post them? probably not...if I continue to win (getting lucky?), I would continue to post. But how does one really measure how much edge? OF course, some will believe the line is always right, but as a former options market maker, and knowing I've gotten picked off by a lot of people a lot of time, I do think sports can be beaten.

So, the picks for the MLS this week are :

Columbus +148 DC
Dallas +119 KC
San Jose -125 Colorado

one thing about the MLS - the lines price draws as likely as European soccer (about 28% - 30%) - but draws are less likely in the MLS, so this helps out on the lines a bit.
