Very Early Season Handicapping

In Response To: Colin, can we discuss your 2002 handicapping? (nt) (Ben)

I brought up the Oregon/Miss State game where you discount trends and discuss PF/PA predictive value and how ATS can be a misnomer. Now I will bring you back to that game

Previous season
Oregon PF/PA 412/256
Miss St PF/PA 196/288

The problem is graduation. How do you account for this? Do oddsmakers change power ratings too severely, meaning is their value with using LY stats. Exactly what are you looking for?
