I think there are two kinds.

The pure square who bets into his local book into juiced lines at the last minute.

The "knowledgable square" with undefined methods, reads the paper, thinks he is informed, trying to start a handicapping service via Big guy performance. The majority of Big Guy handicappers are probably trendy. I do not think the great majority of people on Big Guy know what they are doing. Of course, I could have a losing season and look like I do not know what I am doing. I have less faith with "wise" plays that align into a consensus than a lone "wise" opinion.
