if the line moves only a 1/2 point it costs you 5 cents. It's profitable in the right situations as you said. But if you can somehow move it more than a 1/2 point you are really getting a bargain. The best wiseguy groups can move it this much and then come back really hard on the other side. It's kind of like no-limit poker where stack size is everything. The most well-financed groups can throw around 10K just to move the line and come back for 100 or more. It's gotta be a nice life.
