Week 2 scoring by half

Since 1995, the second "full" preseason week has produced both the lowest scoring second halves and the largest difference between first and second half scoring of any preseason week. First halves have averaged 19.7 points, and second halves 17.9. In every season since 1995 second half scoring has been lower than first half scoring, and in 5 of the 6 seasons the difference has been 2.6 ppg or more (excluding only 1997, with a 0.8 difference). Week 2 is the only one of the four weeks to average fewer points in the second half than the first half in all 6 seasons.

Disclaimers - I did not include any games that may have been shortened due to weather, and second half scoring does not include overtime.
