all of the online sportsbooks have a section which describes the various kinds of bets they offer. it is worthwhile reading all the fine print, because how cases like ties and no action are handled often differ from book to book. so do the payoffs.

a teaser is a bet where you are given extra points for each team you bet, but have to win two or more games to win. you need to read the rules to get the drift. in football, most commonly you can get a 'handicap' of 6, 6.5 or 7 points a game, getting worse odds as your handicap gets larger.
