I flat bet, I make 6 figures a year. My top bet is 1.5 times my normal bet. Rarely have I gone any higher than that. I have grown tired of reading people talk about how there is only one way to do things. The "I do it the right way and everyone else is wrong" is bullshit. I feel comfortable doing it my way. Is it wrong? No. Is it right? For me yes, for others, maybe, maybe not.

I'm sorry but this is math. You can have a right answer and a wrong answer. Its not creative writing.

If your recommended Kelly bet is greater than 1.5 times your normal bet then not making it will lose money. You may factor in corrections to your Kelly bet because your assessment of edge is not perfect but that does not justify capping a bet-that just does not solve the problem.
