reversing out to lock in a profit?

(im a newbie - pls forgive any ignorance)
regarding the time value of money, and long-term bets - I am wondering what would be the value of being able to onsell your bet once the odds have shifted? ie, you wouldn't have to wait out the five months...to lock in a profit. if your bet trended the right way, you just get out and sell the bet to someone else?

can u do this at wsex?
