LSU at Virginia Tech Question

Anyone else surprised by the current line? (VTECH -7)
I'm pretty sure that I will not have an opinion on this Sunday game, but I am wondering about the line nonetheless.
I expected 3.5, which would have been more in line with most pre-season power ratings that I saw.
It seems a little odd, especially when you consider that the Tigers are shorter odds to win the National Title (+3000 to +4000, whereas the Hokies are +3500 to +5000) (I guess scheduling is a factor in those odds)
Is it possible that VTECH's opening-day destruction of Arkansas State has influenced the line that much?
